The Saint Charles International logistics centre is in Perpignan, on the border between Spain and France. This location is not an accident, as the main flows of fresh fruit and vegetables come from the south of the Mediterranean and their main destination is the North and Eastern Europe.
These Mediterranean routes, which represent 4 million tonnes of fruit and vegetables, mainly pass through Perpignan, whilst only 300,000 tonnes travel up the West coast, according to data from the centre itself. This makes Saint Charles International Europe’s number one fruit and vegetable marketing and logistics centre. Not to mention the foreign branches in Saint Charles International which connect it to countries that are further afield like India, North Africa, China and many more.
